Hi Guys,

I will be flying in J-class to singapore Early October for honeymoon.
Which one is better the overnight flight or the morning flight?

Had a look in seatguru, and it shows that the 77W seat is much narrower than A380, is this true?

If it is the same, I am looking at the the overnight flight, because once we arrive we can take shower in the lounge, then start touring the city.

Do they serve dinner for the overnight flight?

The seats on both are so wide I doubt you would notice four inches. Personally I would choose the A380 simply for the fact of it being an A380.

To be honest, and I have been on both of them, I think they are the same seat. Either which way they are by far the widest J seat I have come across. My preference is the 218 service. Yes you get dinner but the forward cabin is particularly private with only 8 seats (2 of which are crew rest seats) so if you want to arrive well rested after a good sleep that would be my choice. The middle seats in row 11 (I think they are D and F) are my favourites when travelling with my wife.
The 380 service is a day flight so it depends if you have plenty of travel days up your sleeve for your honeymoon to waste one on a plane.
Either which way have a great trip, congratulations on the wedding, have a great day (if your weeding is still to come) and enjoy the "champagne charlie" in J

Ditto on the other answers so far.

Just thought I'd checkin on my understanding on this. If you are arriving into SIN and not departing that day, then you don't get access to the Silverkris lounge.

Options:
You can take showers in the various pay per entry lounges;
Use the free showers located around Changi airport; or
Go directly to your hotel and use the showers there...(and whatever.)

Last time we flew into Singapore, we arrived at our hotel at about 7am and our room was ready which allowed us to take a shower anyway.

That's my experience, others may have more guidance.

I'm flying SQ218 on Friday this week in Y unfortunately but just thought I'd say that I've caught this flight numerous time as I think it gives great timing to get into Singapore and as you said explore the city. Normally flight isn't too full but just looking this morning it seems to be pretty packed for my flight!

We fly through Singapore often and have always had access to the lounge on arrival - but our ongoing flights are with SIN usually within
10-12 hours. Have in fact spent overnight in the lounge but now usually book a room in the transit hotel - available on an hourly rate in Terminals 1 & 2.
Cheap and cheerfull and does the job at less than half the rates of the Crowne Plaza. TV Showers and CLEAN !

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
