so was platinum on Virgin but moved to Europe last year, and was advised here to join KF as star alliance is a much better choice when travelling from Europe, and would allow me to later convert my points back to virgin (about 750000 miles there)

So, my KF*G status was to be reached by may 31st. I flew GVA-IAD-SEA-SFO in may 10th by that time I had achieved 49800 qualifying miles (that last trip in economy on United only earned me 50% miles)
Return trip was SFO-LHR-GVA, class Y, so 100% reward

Two weeks on, I've achieved 50k miles, and it shows as I now need another 50k miles before may next year.

Reading the SQ website, it does seem to indicate that the trip used to attain 50k can't be counted toward the next qualification. A bummer, that's over 5000 miles lost there. 10% of the goal!
Now, the LHR-GVA was to earn me 500ish miles. Shouldn't have those counted toward the next 50k?

Thanks
