Hi,

Is there are store in Sydney or Auckland international terminals that sells Qantas or Air NZ model planes? I want to pick one up for a nephew when I'm passing through next week.

Cheers

I think the newsagent opposite the Qantas clubs in SYD has models, but not certain. They had postcards if Ansett last time I flew through ;) !

There's a website floating around for really nice model planes (similar to the one spotted in VA's new OOL lounge) with prices around ~$250!

I got my Qantas 737-800 for about $50 postage included on Ebay.

Cheers, this is for a 10 yr old though, I know I saw a shop selling kids Qantas models, they had some hanging on stings out the front - maybe it was the newsagent mentioned above. It's possible the shop was in Melbourne too, I really don't remember.

That's correct Sam.. I recall asking the lounge angel for sample of the VA OOL lounge model.. She was very obliging offering....the website, which I had a good look into.. Fantastic array of all model types & prices, though I forgot which www... it is!

Gemini Jets (you can google it, not enough posts to ad a link) make some really nice ones, heavy metal, high quality and not too expensive (at around $50). Several model shops in Australia have them or get them online. They are limited runs as well so quite collectable as they sell out.

The souvenir shop in SYD T3 in between the entrances to the Qantas Lounge and Qantas Business Lounge. Opposite gate 6?

Not sure of the prices though as I have never had a close look.

I have purchased them before from the newsagency/gift shop before.

Look in the kids toy section.

App $20 from memory
