I wonder how many people book that restrictive prepaid b&b rate without comparing the benefits?

I am not sure of the issue - basically it is saying breakfast is $11 (diff between restricted rate and restricted + breakfast).

And you have just fallen into the trap (every rate includes breakfast)!

Isn't it that the "hot deal" is *only* $5 less than the unrestricted rate?

Hmmm someone should call and politely ask does the hot deal not come with a bed? If so then what is a bed and breakfast deal?
I'd love to hear the explanation other than "Oh yes you've worked out our misleading marketing ploy"

Looks to me like an Accor website... have seen it before and went for the cheapest rate only to be informed at the check in that there is no breakfast included!!!. The breakfast inclusion is not shown in the booking confirmation and therefore I had to make a mock booking using my phone to prove to the check in that it was inclusive of breakfast!!!!

Yes, its Accor, it an Ibis hotel which do give you free breakfast at many places.

Ahh, but with the Bed and breakfast Rate you get a bed as well as breakfast. The other two only mention breakfast and not the provision of a bed in the room :p

I stayed at the Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen the first week it opened and had a similar problem. I needed to produce the printout to show breakfast was included

Nearly as bad as selecting rooms which appear to have the same description, conditions and amenities but differ widely in price.
