Hey guys,

I'm traveling J MEL-AKL-LAX with a couple of mates this coming Friday on NZ. The other two are traveling in Y and have no status. I'm *G with TG and Velocity Gold as well. By my calculations both give me access to the NZ Lounge at Mel Intl and Auckland. However, both only give me access + 1 guest.

So my question is how best do I approach trying to get both mates in the lounge(s) if at all.

1. My first thought and most likely course of action is simply to ask the Lounge agent very very very nicely and point out both memberships.
2. Second thought was to walk in with mate #1, drop him off, and then walk in again 10 minutes later with mate #2. Depending on how busy they are the lounge agent may or may not notice me, or identify I'm with a different person.

Has anybody ever guested in two people? I don't really beleive I'm entitled to two guests, but each brand of membership cards does allow a +1....

Thoughts?

Try option 1 and if it fails pick option 3:
Mate 2 pays for entry

There is an option 4: 1 mate at a time. (change lounge mates at half time) :)

I'd suggest a "tweaked" option 1.... Go to the desk and tell them you have 2 guests "so I'll need to pay for one"

If you have to pay, fair enough, and you haven't actually asked for a freebie....... but the act of offering may well result in a nod and a wink....
