I currently have Velocity Gold but am going to drop to Silver this month.
I have a trip to the USA booked for September for 2A and 2K flying Virgin to LAX then from LAX to MCO via Delta (not on one ticket/flight) as we wanted to stay overnight in LAX to give the kids a break in the trip.
Currently my Delta ticket is showing Gold Medallion but I assume this will change once I drop to Silver.
What benefits to Silver members have? I know I probably can't use the lounge like I did last time as it is only myself that has the status (we family pool) but do we get any perks like getting thru the lines quicker or baggage fees waived etc on silver?
It was great not to pay for baggage last time.
I couldn't get a flight from MCO to LAX with Delta on the return leg so will have to "slum it" on AA.

There's a list down the bottom of the Delta partner page on the Velocity site:
✓ Up to 50% Bonus Points
Priority check-in through SkyPriority lane
Additional baggage allowance:
Receive the same allowance as Delta Silver Medallion Members (waived baggage fees)
Members can request a Complimentary Upgrade4 to Delta Comfort+ offering dedicated overhead bin space, extra legroom, early boarding and complimentary premium entertainment with Delta StudioTM

Fantastic thankyou. I did take a look but couldn't find anything - I was on my ipad at the time. Much easier to see now I'm on my desktop.
I also checked with Delta on their Silver Medallion benefits and it is good to know I won't have to pay for baggage.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I know for Qantas, if you drop status before a journey, any previously booked trips may still reflect your old (higher) status on the boarding pass provided you haven't made any changes to it since.

Members on here have posted a few examples of this over the years, and the boarding passes are valid for their respective lounge entries. Maybe the same happens with VA?

Note that I'm not condoning this personally, but just reflecting on what has been posted here before.

Interesting. I will be sure to look on my boarding pass when I get it.
