I used the site to book accommodation for two stays in August.

No points were credited to my Velocity account. I have put in a points request via the Velocity site mid September and still no points credited.

Velocity are acting like Accor in their points posting.

Anybody else having the same problem?. Any suggestions on how to get the points?

From my experience the points have been credited fairly quickly. Just call them up.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

In my experience, HotelClub points are the absolute worst at posting. It is normal for them to take two or three months. I do think it needs to be improved - particularly now that HotelClub are being presented as part of the Virgin site/ branding. It should take no longer for a hotel booked through the virgin site to credit than a flight.

Two to three months is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Virgin.

Never had one credit without submitting a claim, despite booking through VA website, and entering FF number when booking.
I have a bunch here to do again now, but its a pain in the cough, because each individual one needs to be claimed on its own, and once you get a few, you can be sitting there for 1/2 hr doing something that in unnessesary

I have never submitted a claim and i have always found that they do eventually post - it just takes forever.

Really hit and miss with Hotel Club lately. They used to take up to a month to post, like 777 said they took forever but would always post them eventually.

My concern at the moment is I've still got two outstanding stays from May this year that haven't been credited, and I didn't realize they were missing until outside the 3 month window for claiming missing points so Velocity won't accept the claim.

Given this I'm now putting missing points claims in for anything outstanding more than a month. Bit of a pain but I have no faith in them at the moment.

Based on my recent experiences it seems to be a problem with certain Velocity partners.
Last year and this year I went to USA and all my Delta flights hit my account within a week of flying.
My Virgin America flights from last year and this year still havent showed up.

Delta and Europcar in my experience have both been quick and accurate.
Hotelclub and Virgin America I have had to chase over and over.

If they really want to lure the business market they need to sort this out.
Why would I buy a business or first class fare with their partners when they wont credit what I have flown so far.

Hi guys,

Sorry to hear that the Velocity Points processing has been delayed for your recent HotelClub stays.
Sometimes points processing can take time, as the points are only validated upon hotel check-out date, whereby the points are invoiced through our partner, HotelClub, the following month.
With this though, you can be assured that your points will always be credited for your Virgin-HotelClub bookings. If you’re ever in doubt or require the points to be quickly processed for an upcoming redemption, don’t hesitate to contact the Hotel Club team directly. They’re only too happy to help.

Maybe I am just impatient ;)

If I had a check-out on the 10th August, why have I still not received points. It will be two months on Monday.

Now we are told we have to contact Hotel Club. Could we have a contact email or phone number.

"as the points are only validated upon hotel check-out date, whereby the points are invoiced through our partner, HotelClub, the following month. "
This is spin, what does it mean in plain English. Is it the same day the following month, or at the end of the month? If it takes 2 months tell us, don't try and hide it in spin.

I have a 3rd of August check out and another one later that month neither of which has posted. Can i just clarify who VFF are suggesting that we contact to chase this up and at what point we should chase it? It's definitely not come next month as described.

Well the points from my two Hotelclub bookings in May were finally credited to my account...5 and a bit months later...

A bit of a bump on this one. Seems not much has changed.

Booked through Velocit site to see if clicking the links would help.

checked out early April 2012, sent through two claims, and one email to retro, and still zippo.

Correction, points posted 2 days ago.still slow. Now I am not sure what spurred it on, the second missing points claim, or the email to retro :)

....sent from the place closest to the airport I just arrived at.

I completely forgot that I booked 2 hotels in Tassie through the Virgin site in May.... just noticed this thread so I guess now I will wait at least another month or so before I see the points. Thanks for the reminder, but I won't hold my breath.....

I did a purchase through Hotel Club after following the link from the Velocity site. After about 3 months of no replies to my request for the points credit, i finally received a reply that as i hadn't booked through the velocity website, but direct with HotelClub i wasn't eligable. I sent back a polite email confirming the fact that i had indeed followed the link through from the velocity site to book as i was aware that this was a requirement.

The response back was short, basically tough luck. As far as they were concerned the booking had been made direct with Hotel Club and thus didn't meet the requirements.

Unfortunately i can't see any way to prove to the contrary that i did go through the redirected link to book?

It should say clearly in the email you received confirming your booking. A recent on of mine says "Thank you for using the hotel reservation service with Velocity Rewards Hotels (www.hotelclub.com/velocityrewards). This service is powered by HotelClub." If it says that or something similar then forward it to them. If it doesn't you may indeed have somehow accidentally booked from the wrong site.

Does anyone know if it's possible to double dip using the Hotelclub/Velocity booking engine? If I book a Hilton or Sofitel stay, can I get HC Velocity points AND my LeClub Platinum or HH Gold benefits? Or would the hotel see I didn't book direct and say 'too bad'?
