Velocity Gold to Platinum Partner Membership

Hi all, I'm currently Velocity gold and I am wondering if I have the complimentary gold with IHG/Hilton once I go Platinum can I take out Diamond with the other or will the one I choose as gold be upgraded? Same for Europcar and Hertz. Basically trying to get both as I will go Platinum 4 months after going gold.

You only get it granted once, at least that's my understanding.

Based on my experience, yes. You could go Gold with one today, hit Platinum and go Platinum with the other.
