How long does it take for a cancelled booking to leave their system? I just cancelled a flight, got my travel bank money and now want to re-book the same flights and when it went to payment it said their was a duplicate booking in the system.

Book initially without your VFF number. Then manually add your VFF later through "manage my booking". Will work as long as the name etc is an exact same match

I notice that my two under 18s in my family pool can’t register
Anyone else noticing (as I did) that they can't register kids for this:

I tweeted VA and they said it was a known issue and it could be registered by the Contact Centre on 131875.

Full transparency: My experience when calling them (even though I got a Premium agent as Velocity Gold!) was that the agent didn't know about the promo, didn't know about the issue, had to go away for several minutes to enquire. Eventually she found someone who knew about it and said the remedy is for her to note the problem accounts and escalate for back-end correction, and I should go ahead and book flights in the meantime. This doesn't make me especially confident, but I noted the name and I will check later whether the kids' accounts show as activated online.
 
Appparently not, I've just found out :eek: :(. Oh well, I've got some bookings that I can do now and secure upgrades, so I'll get something out of it, as will VA - but QF will continue to get most of my bookings still...
 
Where on earth do I register for this? I can't find a link anywhere on the Velocity website.
Sad, I booked flights a few weeks ago before I knew about this offer - too late to change now :(
But I may be able to swing another flight this year.
 
Hm, wasn't expecting them to run a sale concurrently with DSC's. Lucky the route I booked wasn't included!

For those that have done the famous RAR runs, what is there to do in the Cook Islands, or is this a turn around in the airport and take the same plane back option?
 
Ouch, there’s been some price hikes overnight!!

Is it just me or have all the transit flights been increased in price under the Elevate fare category. I see the getaway category still being cheap but Elevate has become ridiculously high. Flights i used to book for 350 are now 580? Is there a glitch?

The one way (non transit) flights dont seem affected. The transit ones are badly inflated though.

Further to this:

A few hours later I logged into the kids' accounts and the offer was showing in their Available Offers sections, ready to be activated. (It wasn't there before.) I did so and it all looks good.

Whether they've fixed the systemic problem sometime today, or whether it was only available to activate because the phone agent escalated this morning (but they just enabled it without activating for some reason?) I don't know. But hopefully this will work for @tomo69 or anyone else affected.
 
Is this valid with the promo codes on the Wiki page? Say if I get a saving of ~10% on a Getaway or Elevate fare, would I still earn the standard Getaway or Elevate status credits?

Similarly, I don't see anything in the T&C about having to buy direct rather than through an agent. Do people who book through Amex Travel (using travel credit or card) or elsewhere usually earn the full double status credits?
