VA Now Arriving at TBIT

A few weeks back some people asked me to report back about my experience of arriving at TBIT with VA as they changed from T5 on Saturday. Here is the play by play of what happened, I was in the front row of Y.

• 10min wait to disembark the aircraft.
• An announcement was made that express cards would be made available for people with connections of less than 2 hours
• 3 min walk to Immigration line, the tail end of QF11 was in the line, but wasn't crazy busy. After about 15 mins another few flight arrived and it was chaotic but I was already in line.
• Half hour wait for Immigration
• 10 mins to get through Customs
• In the SkyClub in T5 20 mins later

I walked, it's like a max 5 min walk. The TSA was a bit busy though

Still sounds a lot better than the madhouse that was T5 when three 777's unloaded their pax standing around the 2 carousels and the line to exit snaking so much you couldn't actually find the end of it!

Sorry VA1 arriving at 10.30am, we were 20 mins late though.

Cheers! I'm on VA32 arriving at 8:30am in August. Fingers crossed it'll be as good - I think I'm going to need some time at the SkyClub!

Arrived on VA7 yesterday. Airside to Landside 20 mins in total. Was traveling HLO which might give the case of quick exit.
