At the VA thread, there was a mention about VA 'enhancing' the Coast2Coast product offering by cutting down on a few things. Hopefully, that was a one-off supply chain shortage/oversight/etc and hope there's nothing to worry about for the rest of us.

Here's what you usually get....photos taken last week btw - so maybe the menu is still the same for those interested in knowing what they'll be eating? 737 lunch service. Westbound A330 dinner service.

OH oh...

Was your B737 service a trans-con? (You are not clerar if you are comparing a B737 trans-con service and an A330 trans-con service) If so...

I think that you should have been served an entrée prior to your beef main meal on a B737 (tans-con), if the entrée was missing then the service may have been "enhanced". (On a B737 the entrée always seems to be a soup. It is served in a bowl on the tray with the dessert, and then removed after consumption, and replaced with the main course.)

You should also get a nut/pretzel mix (not warm) and drink service prior to the meal service on the B737 (trans-con), and an ice cream treat after the tray was cleared away - but you do not mention these things.

(A PER B737 trans-con service, should be to the same standard lunch service as any other B737 flight over 3 hours length - http://www.australianfrequentflyer....otos/premium-midcon-domestic-qf-vs-53249.html)

HOWEVER...

The B737 lunch service, as described/pictured, is what you should expect on a flight LESS THAN 3 hours. (So if your B737 flight was a short connection sector, before your longer A330 flight, then what you describe is appropriate.)

That c2c menu hasn't been changed in the last month. I'm getting sick of the same options. The 738 service is not on par with the 332.
