Using LHR T3 from Sofitel at T5

How easy/practical is it to stay at Sofitel LHR T5 and fly out the next morning (abt 9:30am) from T3 (JAL) - in respect of getting from the hotel to T3?

The hotel web site says they offer 'free inter-terminal transfers' to other terminals, but has anyone done this? Is Heathrow Express between the terminals just as easy?

Reason I'd prefer to stay at Sofitel is that I'll need to collect a bag there from a previous stay and I'll be returning a hire car to Avis at T5.

I always stay at the Sofitel and fly out on SQ which is T2. It is very easy to use the free Heathrow Express from T5 to T2/3.

I’d suggest the free transfer is the Heathrow Express. Never seen a shuttle bus etc.

always use the Sofitel at T5 and invariably have a departure flight from T3 and its easy as !!!...Take the HE from just outside the lifts and 5 mins later youre at T3 and a short walk up to departures....allow 15 mins and you will be just fine
