Using Asia Miles to Access Lounges

From newsletter received today:

From 17 December 2013, you can redeem access to

Cathay Pacific Business Class lounges and Dragonair lounges for yourself and others at the rate of 9,000 Asia Miles per person.

Don't have details and not sure whether this applies to KA and CX lounges globally.

I thougt this was possible in the past with Asia Miles.

Assuming that Amex MR transfers at 1:1 that is a very expensive lounge visit.
