I'd definitely pay that than go through the hassles of trying to book an award seat on any of the programmes I have a points stash with.

last week, i think from memory, Skyscanner had some really CHEAP fares to the States in PE and J - i presumed they were a mistake at the time. HHMMM, wondering now if they were . oh well that's life if they were..................

The market for USA is always volatile and specials come out regularly on all airlines if demand is down, even a little. I have QF J to LAX for $5285..... not too bad at all !

QF have the route and also into SFO (again).

I think you're correct on the VA situation, they seem to always have availability.

The market for USA is always volatile and specials come out regularly on all airlines if demand is down, even a little. I have QF J to LAX for $5285..... not too bad at all !

I paid that last week J BNE-SYD-LAX return. QF website was showing "the lowest price" at $8500 but a casual search on google flights had me booking the better deal.

Icing on the cake will be the elcheapo points upgrade into F both ways
