Upgraded to Gold Membership Finally

It has been a few years now and i have finally upgraded to Gold membership. Am still not completely convinced it will be of any major benefit to me other than confirming my happiness and commitment to AFF. If anyone has any words of wisdom for me that would be gratefully received.

For me the biggest benefit of AFF gold membership is actually the lack of ads. Makes for a much smoother browsing experience. There are a few other niceties as well, e.g. you can add a signature to your posts.

You do also get access to various discounts, e.g. on Qantas Club membership, travel insurance and Expert Flyer subscriptions.

Yes, I use the app all the time. I find it good for reading AFF on the bus/train and it works reasonably well, although there can be a few bugs when posting from it. I've found that most of the bugs go away if you fully close & restart the App (or log out and back in) before each browsing session.

Great will take that advice and run. Not sure how to find apple app though, will search later, too busy.

Welcome aboard, I caved pretty quickly - for some reason the ads here annoyed me so much more than elsewhere, that and the app, perfect for reading trip reports on the train or in the lounge haha.

I'm happy enough with the lack of ads and the app functionality, I don't fly QF or Oneworld atm but if that changes in future I'm sure the Qantas Club discount will be useful
