UK born, no UK passport, how long in UK

My Mrs Dalescott was born in UK, and is now an Aussie Citizen. Her UK passport is long expired, and she uses her OZ passport to come and go to the UK.
What would happen if she entered UK on an OZ passport, and stayed longer than the visitor visa of 3 months. She may need to stay, for family reasons, and doesn't have time to get a new UK passport.
Also while on that subject, what is the procedure for renewing her UK passport. I haven't looked up the UK websites yet. But thought one of the genius's on here might know.

Mrs Oatek renewed her UK passport online this year. Had to send the old one back, and a copy of all pages from her OZ one. Bit inconvenient, but she had the new one back in 10days. Just google UK passport office.

She should be able to enter the UK showing her expired UK passport and explain that she's renewing it whilst she's in the UK.

She can travel to the UK with her Australian passport and renew her UK passport whilst in the UK. She won't have problem exiting the UK with her new passport. (I travel with 3 passports, so I'm used to these situations!)

Do Immigration get uptight about having in stamps but no out stamps?

Aussie citizens can stay 6 months in the UK if IIRC.
