I have to book a transcon flight for my partner this week and was intending to use a credit voucher from an unused flexi Mel-Per. I can not see any exclusions for using a voucher or would the booking date be considered as March when the original booking was made. ?

Usually you'll just have difficulty with getting the points to credit automatically as it will use the original voucher date as the booking date. Generally, people have rung up (myself included) and got them to acknowledge that the flights are eligible for a particular promotion, but it can sometimes be a long and arduous process. YMMY
