From Monday 24 November to Friday 19 December 2014, Velocity will conduct a trial of upgrades from Saver fares using UpgradeMe Points in select Virgin Australia Lounges.In response to feedback, Velocity members with Virgin Australia lounge access can request an upgrade from a Saver fare to Business Class on domestic Virgin Australia services using Points at participating lounges*. Lounges participating in this trial are located at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and the Gold Coast.
Upgrades can be requested from three hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. Requests close 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time. Upgrades are not guaranteed and all upgrades are subject to Reward Seat availability. Saver Lite fares are not eligible for upgrades and UpgradeMe Platinum Member Offer is only available on a Flexi fare. Flights must be marketed and operated by Virgin Australia, and issued on Virgin Australia ticket stock (featuring a ticket number beginning with “795”).
