Interesting article about possibilities for airlines, and others, to use forums to see what discussions take place:

A good article - and there are some really good examples on other sites where industry representatives already follow the tips as a matter of best practice.

The article is about more than mainstream social media - it's about engaging with specialist bulletin boards. AFF is not facebook or twitter - it's comprised of frequent flyers who know their stuff. Unfortunately in many cases the distinction is not recognised.

Yep, one has to think that simpler and fairer , the loss of ASA's ( old version) is down to watching what goes on here , so it's a double edge sword IMHO.
I suspect the FF rules and benefits will skew more toward paid for premium cabin flying and or heavy regular Y flying. Rather than creative planning like the old days.

There are the credit card providers too who can take cue from feedback on forums

Articles are one thing, common sense is another.

There are still muppet agents out there telling pax to go to BNE Intl to check in because the pax have an connection out of SYD to an international flight after their domestic BNE/SYD flight.

There haven't been any international BNE/SYD flights since QF8 on 30 Sep last year.
