Hi,

I been given a Work phone - BBZ30  and wanted to know of any Apps used on the blackberry platform to be able to effectively use during travels.

Cheers!

When I had a blackberry, I used the BB inbuilt travel app, BBtravel/Worldmate. I found the app to be both useful an intuitive. With many things BB, it was centred around work and not pleasure. When using it I would be alerted to short flight delays before they were on the notice boards/announced at the airport. I was so useful that I continue to use it on my Android.

Hi alieninperth, not sure if you're monitoring this or not but I'd be interested to know how you managed to keep BB Travel on your Android? I'm moving from a BB10 to Android system and the thing I'll miss the most is BB Travel so looking for a replacement (preferably one that automatically builds itineraries from the emails rather than you having to manually send them).

I am still monitoring this thread, the subscription is still live.

When I first moved to Android I used the travel world (?) or World mate (?), cant remember which. It was effectively BBtravel for other devices. It worked well, but I've since moved to using Google Inbox. It automatically pulls details and groups them according to date and location, it presents multiple emails in a seperate, I know this isn't the right word but, folder so that you can see the trip at a glance. For example it has pulled a work trip from an email from our corporate TA and added the relevlant details into my calendar and reminders in the inbox. Car hire was pulled from a seperate email and it has prompted me to book accommodation. I think it works really well and as it effectly my email app it means I have access offline after first access. It works for me by YMMV
