Hello fellow AFFers,
A little question for those in the know. We have a wedding in PVR coming up in September. As we will be coming from LIM, trying to find flights . Anyway, long and short of it is, I've found the flights that suit at a reasonable price. Just can't get them on one PNR.

So, as we arrive at MEX at 4:00pm on LATAM, the next flight on VA at 7:15pm. Anyone with experience at INT to DOM transit at MEX? Is 3hours 15 ok? Barring disaster of course. I understand that its a risk, but hoping someone can give me an indication.
I have been to MEX before, from what I remember its not a huge airport. And thier website is of little help.

Thanks in advance, Bren

I generally allow 3 hours for connections that aren't on the same PNR and barring flight delays this is usually suffices nicely.

I've only flown into Mexico City once from DFW on AA and it was late morning on a Sunday. It was the longest amount of time I've ever spent in the immigration line anywhere in the world. We landed exited the plane pretty quickly, but at least 2 other large international flight landed at the same time and it seemed there were very few agents were manning the gates (maybe everyone else was at church), it took about 75 mins from joining the immigration line to collecting my bags and exiting the gate.

Not sure if my experience is typical or not. I know the lines moved much faster the two times I entered via CUN (from DFW and HAV).
