Hi,

I have almost 40,000 award points as part of my CBA credit card and I wanted to transfer them to my wife's QFF account. The CBA have a statement on their account which states that points accrued prior to the opt in for QFF cannot be transferred. It does appear that I can transfer these points to a virgin or Air NZ FF account. My question is then.

Can I transfer points from either Virgin or Air NZ to QFF? and it so how easy it this? If not, is there another way to transfer the points to one of our accounts. BTW I have two award accounts (one personal and one joint).

Thanks

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If your CBA card is not set up to sweep points each month the Qantas then I beleive that the only was to use the points will be to use the CBA booking site ( can't recall the name of it) Maybe you can use the points plus pay to get the flight you need.

As far as Virgin and Air NZ are concerned, you will not be able to interchange points with Qantas. Thats a bit like MacDonalds accepting a Hungry Jacks free burger voucher.

Thats my understanding.

thanks MAX_1.

I had a look through the CBA travel booking engine and it seems that is is better to use that than the Qantas ASA in any event.:!:

alieninperth,

Would you like to elaborate because The ASA if correctly used works very well and I have not seen that from any CBA travel booking :?:

Straitman,

sorry for taking so long to respond.

through the flight centre section of the rewards home page the pts are converted into a $ value and can be used on any flights as a contribution towards any flight.
