Transfer points from Altitude to SQ - different name

I am in need of transferring points into my SQ account from our Westpac Altitude Account. Problem is that the Westpac Altitude is in my husbands name and the SQ is in mine, will there be a problem with the transfer? It says on the transfer that the names must match exact, but is it that strict?
I am in need of the additional points for a well needed upgrade.
 
Do not transfer as it is against their policy. I was audited for similar transfer last year and the account was put on hold. The points had to be transferred to my wife's account before my account could be used. The altitude account was in my wife's name and I had transferred to my account.
 
So I guess its better to transfer to his account in Velocity that is pooled to mine and then transfer over to SQ. They are not making it very easy, are they :)

Hi Roseanna. Each Krisflyer member can nominate 5 people to be in their redemption group.

Would it not be easier for your husband to transfer the points from his Westpac Altitude account into his Krisflyer account and then upgrade on your behalf after nominating you as one of his redemption group?

Hi Ray, It would if it wasnt for the fact that I only needed an additional 5000 points fairly immediate. Solved the problem by transferring from my VA account. Will have an impact down the road when I am going for another redemption in a month or so, but I will solve it then.

Now the biggest issue is the waitlist :p Any tips on how to make them clear me on the waitlist? Someone like myself with no FF or anything to my advantage?

Its just that I got a back injury a week ago and cattle class for 24 hours is going to be quite bad... I had to make changes to my flights due to a family crisis and have to fly out sooner then I thought. Things arent really working for me this week :)

I would try ringing them on 02 8228 1188 and pleading your case.

Probably going to have to do it as it looks as if they messed up my booking as well... now all of a sudden I am waitlisted on the economy flight as well, which I dont understand as I have paid for that seat... *sigh* Positive thinking, all will be good in the end.

So, I did ring up and begged and pleaded but they didnt seem too concerned.... BUT, I have been put as available on the PER-SIN leg of my journey...

Now... If I accept this one and then the other one comes available, will I be charged the two separate upgrade fares or will I be charged for the total of the leg? (about 55000 points) Just wondering if it is worth saying yes to leg one of 5 hours and just hope that the second one comes available.
