Does any one know how to track an Aegean Airline reeservation code on line? None of the usual sites such as checkmytrip etc seem to recognize Aegean Airlines bookings.

Interestingly Aegean issue 5 letter reservation codes instead of the usual 6 letter/number codes that other airlines do.

Worse of all is that thier website has no facility to actually check reservations, flight time changes etc. Instead they want you to call their Athens booking facility.

Really annoying especially when you find out by accident that your booked flights have had their departure/arrival times changed and Aegean haven't bothered to advise you either by phone or email

Any ideas frequent flyers?

Much appreciated

I don't think Aegean Airlines is associated with the likes of Amadeus or Sabre. The 5 character reservation code would just be for internal reference.

The best way to look for any changes to booked flights is to check the online flight schedule on a regular basis. If your flight has changed this would be reflected in the new flight schedule.

Also are you an Aegean Miles & Bonus member? I would expect they would send an email if there were any changes to flights but this is a LCC we are discussing so don't expect too much. My only 2 flights with them in August were an experience to remember.

Thanks for your advice JohnK, this is exactly how I found out that my departure/ arrival times had changed from that of my original booking and although Aegean have my valid email address...there was no message advising me of the fact. Perhaps they thought that since the flight was departing and hour and half later that it wouldn't matter to me as i would be at the airport early any way .

Poor service though not to advise you of changes and then expect you to phone Athens to check every so often

Thank anyway for your help

They are a LCC so I do not expect too much from them. As I do not travel to Greece that often it does not bother me too much and if worse comes to worse there are other options like buses, trains or ferries.

By the way I was waiting on the main road outside a village for the last bus of the night, 9:00pm, for a 1 hour trip back to where I was staying when the guy in the cafe/bus depot came out to tell me that the bus was cancelled. What am I supposed to do out in the middle of nowhere? As I had some phone cards I managed to call my aunt who called a local taxi to come and get me. Finally got back to my aunts at 12:30am and the taxi fare was a mere €50. Welcome to Greece.

Thanks John.......Unfortunately Mrs Josko (otherwise know as "she who must always be obeyed") refuses to go from Athens to Santorini by ferry and this has been the case every time we go to the Greek Islands!

To quote her familiar words "Either book a flight or we are not going"

Oh yes....I just LOVE the Greek taxis drivers! So much so that I refuse to take taxis in Greece full stop!

And I thought that Italian taxis dravers were sharks!
