A date has been set for the next tour - Sunday November 1. Clare Valley. Aeolus is kindly helping organise this one. Keep an eye on the calendar, a thread will be started and tour details will be announced. A Saturday get together will also be organised, again keep an eye on the calendar. Feel free to PM if you have any ideas or suggestions for the Saturday.

Considering Clare is my hometown (well almost, it was the closest town) I suppose I better attend! :)

Put me down as Silverish Gold at this stage Buzz. Need to swap a few things around.

Definitely keen. Not a long weekend for me but flights out of MEL are cheap.

Some suggestions:

Restaurants:

Seed - Italian in the Main Street of Clare. Only been open about 6 or so months, but great food and wine. One of the best restaurants in Clare.

Mr Mick - great for lunch.

Skillagoalee - haven't eaten there, but it gets good reviews.

To do:

Rent a bike and ride the riesling trail.

I'll come up with more!

Oh wow, on Page 2 already, pressure is on for me to make some calls next week, Buzz? ;)
AdMel, plenty to do in Clare Valley, trying to squeeze as much in for the day trip but like your lunch suggestions on top of the ones Buzz and I were considering at the moment.

Thanks for your input AdMEL, my project manager is right onto it, see post above.
You're more than welcome to come along and peddle your bike but I'm going to enjoy being driven around in a coach :D

registering interest, but is it still possible to catch the 1820 QF flight on Sunday out of ADL to MEL?

Now I know why I sensed desperation in your previous post ;):p.

We will certainly be at the airport by 1800. Tight but with HLO and online check in it is doable. Will try and arrange a schedule that will have us at the airport by 1730.
