I used one of the old-school paper ticket vouchers that Customer Care give out to book a trip about two weeks ago. Dropped it in the mail the same day so they'd have had it for a while now.

The ticket still hasn't been charged to my credit card nor has it been issued. Travel is still a little while away, however I just wanted to see what the average processing time is for these? If it's managed to go missing, I'd imagine I'll need to stuff around a bit to sort it out.

Does it generally take a few weeks? The voucher stated that e-Tickets had to be booked 7 days from travel, so I assumed it would take less than 7 days to issue, however we're now at double that.

I booked and mailed one in yesterday. Ticketed today.

There are no names on those vouchers and should be treated like cash as anyone can use them... Wouldn't send it via post any other way except platinum express post with every tickbox checked....

Excellent... I do have the customer copy of the ticket so hopefully that should do the job with locating it.

Where did you send the voucher??

to:
QET
Locked Bag B767
Mascot, NSW 2020?

If thats the case, I hope you included a print out of your booking or at the very least the booking reference to which to voucher was to be applied. Im not sure they can track the booking via the MPD ticket number that ought to have taken from you at the time of making the booking.

In any case, 2 weeks seems a bit too long for my liking, id call reservations and get onto it sooner rather than later.

Yep that's the address. The vouchers come with a form that requires you to fill in reservation number, name, flight numbers etc. To be safe, I printed a copy of the booking confirmation page and put it in to.

Turns out they do have it (so they say) and it's "in the queue to be ticketed". Must be a big queue!

Wow. Good that they include this letter. Ive had a few MPD's in my time and they came with nothing but a nice jacket that went straight in the bin.

Id call again in a few weeks just to double check.

When are they just going to make these certificates eletronic? I have one to use, but man what a hassle plus surely its costing QF a bomb to issue, take phone call, wait for certificate, process booking.

I love how they have done the "Fly Free Voucher" electronic, they should do the same with these vouchers, and just send email with the booking ref that has been created (And if your a QFF add it to Your Bookings)

It does seem very out of date and is very inconvienient. The remaining value of the ticket hasn't been charged to me yet (given it hasn't been issued) which causes me some admin headaches, and stops QF from getting their money as quickly as they could (surely they'd be keen to get it ASAP!).

It would be nice if they could move forward a bit. The technology should be in place by now (even JQ have been doing it for years)
