Tiger have gotten support from their pax by posting a message on FB saying sorry for their call centre service.

They are also moving to a new call centre on Feb 1st. Passengers pleased by the message, going by the FB comments and the 27 likes on the "Gotta respect a company that can admit to its faults like that."

Personally I wish they'd also say sorry for the tin shed they use in MEL and the TV show "Airways" seen on Channel 7. In fact I would rather watch Airways for a complete 24 hours straight then fly Tiger.

Personally I would prefer media outlets don't use social media as the complete source for their stories.... including quotes from unverified sources.

But that aside, a good move. Lets see if this improves service.

I seem to recall the Tiger shed at SYD. Or more Tiger cage. Built on the carpark with 3 walls made of chain wire. You'd look down at the ground and see the lines where the cars used to park.

I'm sure it was Tiger. The things you do to fly to Avalon for 59 bucks (well, my wife did)

I heard somewhere that the Melbourne tin shed, aka T4, was being expanded so it connected with the rest of the airport internally. Is that true?

Uncle JB: "Tiger, if you want to grow up to be a good airline, you need to stand up, take responsibility for your mistakes......"

Tiger use the same terminal as Jetstar in Sydney.

Back in the startup days of Virgin Blue and Impulse there was a temporary shed type terminal, that was because Ansett and Qantas owned/operated the other terminals

I did work there for a while last year for the ground crew that services Tiger. Talk is aero bridges and connection to the main terminal in the future.'

For all the bagging Tiger get i still think they are a large reason for me being able to fly QF to SYD for $89.

They should can that ridiculous show altogether. You can't tell me that TT Management don't know about Airways production staff encouraging pax (who miss their flight because they are late) to cause a scene and abuse the airport staff because people refuse to accept responsibility for their own actions and are always looking for someone else to blame.

If people aren't too receptive about throwing a wobbly on camera often the promise of Airways TV crew buying the pax a new ticket will convince them so they are rewarded not only for their own stupidity but for abusing airport staff.

Even though TT AFAIK don't have their own checkin staff but instead outsource to a ground handler such as Aerocare, you can only assume that the management of the applicable ground handler agrees with that kind of abusive behaviour if they do nothing to prevent ground rage for their employees. I guess they want to keep the contract so they put up and shut up.

That show would have to be the worst case of PR money can buy.

I thought Airways was contractually obligated to one more year (last year?) and after that it would be gone.

I think Airways is one of the funniest shows on TV. I absolutely love watching it.

As a high status QFF put it, he enjoyed watching it to 'see how the other half lived'.

I think the series shown last year had been 'in the can' for some time (certainly since sometime pre-grounding) and that while the resurrected TT no longer were in favour of the show, there was nothing they could do to prevent it being aired. Doubt we'll see anymore of them (Sadly. I found it quite entertaining, if somewhat manufactured).
