Last time they did SYD ADL the timing suited me best. Might try them again if they get it right.
For SYD ADL JQ timing is rubbish for my needs.
Tiger today announced it will be setting up its third base in Brisbane, along with a swag of new routes:
But back on topic - some of those city pairs are quite common for me. The BNE-DRW flights should put some downwards pressure on prices of flights in and out of DRW so I imagine that JQ, VA and QF won't like that......
Long time on the ground in PPP.
I assume it probably relates to available slots in SYD?

It is only 1.5 hours.
It could be due to small staff numbers there and lack of infrastructure. There is only one fuel tanker at PPP and from memory it is quite small. Maybe 30 minutes of extra fat in case the tanker needs to fill up twice?

I confess to knowing nothing about running an airline but I can't understand why Virgin would start Tiger on routes that it services. Doesn't that just white-ant VAs revenue. I could understand if the routes were loss making for VA to turn it over to its LCC. Or is this something to do with the "capacity war" that QF and VA seem intent on continuing?
Virgin caters for a different market to TT, as reflected in the timings, and they want to capture the price sensitive VFR dollars via TT.
