Three Days in LAX and I need 645 status credits to retain Platinum, any suggestions?

Hi, and thank you for your help in advance.

I will be in Los Angeles in August 2015, and have Thursday 27th August, Friday 28th August & Saturday 29th 2015 free.

I am looking to do a status run for at least 645 points on any two of these days. The best I have found is LAX-ORD-MIA-ATL-MIA-ORD-LAX for 500 Status Credits. Being not very good at this, I am asking for help to achieve my goal.

Lots of good ideas there. And a bit of work to research flights and have the QF status credit calculator ready to check your proposed trips.

I did LAX-DFW-ORD-MIA-SJU and return back in August last year for ~USD 1800 and earns 660. I don't know if you can still get this routing or the cost lately.

It's a bit of a killer if you do it within the 48 hours that I did it, after I'd just landed into LAX from BNE.

Settle for the soft landing back to SG which gives you lounge & business check-in, save your money for a WP run next year. To value WP so highly you are obviously planning to do a lot of travel next year anyway.

excellent question - and depends totally on circumstances what value it has to the individual. chasing LTG, access to the best lounges, extra points earn, better seat selection, etc etc

Another one that is a tad better:

LAX-ORD-MIA-PTY-MIA-DEN-LAX

540 SC for $989

Uses up 27th and 28th, leaving you the 29th to look for the missing 100 SC
