The view from my "office"

My outside office this morning was along the Cooks River near the airport.

The weather has certainly not been PERfect of late here. It is looking as if we will be close to a record amount of rainfall for a July - but the dams are still just 50.7% full. This has seriously affected our bike riding and we are lucky to get in 2 or 3 a rides a week at the moment. Anyway we managed to get out between showers today and stopped at Kent St Weir on the Canning River for a photo. Upstream is fresh water and downstream is the Estuary which is at least brackish up here. There is a strong flow over the weir at the moment.
