The view from my "office"

Here's some video.

The skipper cranked up the boat to generate a good wake, cut the throttles, then turned side on to our own, pretty chunky, wake.

Gyro on - gyro off - gyro on as the wake crosses the vessel from the side.

Gyro on = not a drop of spilt Krug for @cove. ;)
Oh wow! That's a big difference. That middle bit was 🤢 - I'd give it a shot to see how I went. But then I'm rarely near water to go on boats so moot point really.

Today's soothing video comes from the bush on the east coast of Tas.

The convicts were much better at bridges than roads....

Last week I reported that the highway near my place had been closed because of the danger from these rocks (you might be able to see that the top left one is actually held there by some wire strapping):

After a few day's preparation, that strapped rock and the one underneath it was brought down. That's about 1/5 of the work they are going to do. Hopefully this will display the video properly. They inflate airbags in the crack behind the rocks to ease the rocks out.

Looking along the beach at Palm Cove - after a relaxing breakfast at The Reef House where we are staying.

However, there are all the super fit people wandering around the place for the Ironman competition. We'll just live vicariously through their efforts, while we sit on our balcony and cheer them on

Yesterday we caught up with some of my wife's relations for a meal at Masonmill Gardens & Restaurant in Carmel. Carmel is in the hills to the east of Perth. I will put photos of the meals in the appropriate forum. They have extensive gardens and an 18 Hole MiniGolf Course for the young and young at heart. After our meals we went for a stroll through the garden - in-between the showers.

Overview - from near the Restaurant and Bar area

Even though it is fast approaching Rose pruning time there were still some nice blooms about
