The view from my "office"

Finally a shot stroll (and lunch) around Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest point of the Cotswolds. The weather was miserable, so it was a very short wander.

@Flashback I love the Cotswolds! And we stayed in Stow-on-the-Wold in one of those places in your picture. We would love to go back, although who knows when. I'm glad you had a nice time away.

Only Sunday was any good for a walk, that being said if we toughened up a bit we could have gone out walking in the rain on Monday and Tuesday but as we get older sometimes our desire to do so is less. Battling with a few issues at the moment, but was good to get away. Need to look after ones self better, slowly getting there. Small steps as changing too much at once results in failure eventually.

Yes good for the soul to see and view somewhere different, beautiful countryside always makes my heart glad. Take care

RooFlyer has been posting videos of Tasmanian waterfalls. I feel duty bound to redress the balance by highlight one of Western Australia's lesser known watercourses.

Therefore, behold the majesty of the Willetton Waterfall which is a mere 3 minute bike ride from my house. It is surely one of the highest in W.A. Nestled in the verdant grasslands of Sheldrake Park - a mighty 2 hectare expanse of rolling meadows and picturesque trees. This cataract becomes a roaring tumult when the winter rains come, or someone leaves their reticulation on too long, and many an unsuspecting ant has been swept to a savage doom in its rocky maw. What makes it even more magnificent is that it is man-made. Surely the workers of Canning City Council Gardens Dept. are entitled to quote the words of "Ozymandias" by Percy Byshe Shelly - "Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Surely the 'horizontal waterfall' up on the ?Kimberly coast is higher wider / longer ... whatever ... :)

Seems nonsensical to be lesser known..... majestic and magnificent are obviously words that have been given PEFect new meanings in the WA dictionary ;)

Today's soothing video is of wallabies outside Waldheim Chalet, Cradle Mountain National Park (the one on the right has a joey :) )

We arrived at the Chalet mid-afternoon back in September 1973 while on our honeymoon. There was no one around, and it was gently snowing. Then the snow stopped, amd the local wildlife began to emerge from the scrub. It was like something out of a film, except that I had used up the last of my film earlier at Dove Lake and was now unable to capture the moment. Never forgotten though!
