The view from my "office"

(Aussie) friends just moved from London down to Fareham, so went to visit the new place.

Went for a stroll by the water and along the edge of the golf course (public right of way, as is very common here in the UK), rather pleasant. Pouring rain the day before, unusual given it's usually just drizzle... but glorious sunshine the next!

I do love that place, some great hikes to do and easily accessible from the city centre. Floyen and Ulriken.

Trundling PER-MEL this evening.

Credit where it’s due. The tuna and pork were both very good.

But blunt pressed-metal picnic cutlery is a PITA. Usually I eat the NP Rabbit Food, albeit reluctantly, because I know how much effort our farmers put into producing blemish-free produce. But I just couldn’t bring myself to consume it.

Why they present French cheese, when we have so many excellent Australian producers, is beyond me.

QF: consistently inconsistent...

I don’t mind Aussie or French cheese as long as served at room temperature. QF almost always serve the cheese (and butter) cold out of the fridge. EK is good example of proper service, they take out the cheese about 30 minutes before meal service to serve in ideal condition (as much as possible in the air).

Probably because people whinge when they don't offer French Champagne .... this constant whinging from the cutlery, the drinks, the salad , the food, and now the cheese .... how about you do yourself and the rest of us a favour and just stop flying Qantas ;)

Dunno, we had some darn good builders of stuff going back millennia with no high tech tools or technology or TAFE colleges and still standing but today we can't put up an apartment block that will last 10 years :mad:

Very true. Unfortunately technology has a lot to do with the mostly ugly architecture design we see these days. Also democracy is in the way :) once upon a time the king commanded to build something, no matter how grandiose and it was done at all costs. We can still see it these days in countries like China and UAE where money is never in the way of building grand designs.

Don't buy into a multi unless it's a tier 1or 2 builder .... it's been this way for many years.
