The view from my "office"

on a cruise FB site people on the Amsterdam cruises are likewise posting glorious photos. I love tulips. Bought two more packets today now in the fridge for scarlet tulips.
Just went to the flower markets, they should be renamed the flower bulb markets. But I wouldn't buy here as I'm reading complaints of the colour/quality of the bulbs sold, I would buy at the Keukenhof Gardens. Not that I would buy because of bio security

I thought hard about not posting anymore pictures from Sri Lanka but I’ve come to the conclusion it’s important to continue to show how beautiful it is so...

The weather turned as we arrived, spent the night at this lovely beach...

But with the change of weather came some dramatic views...

Given it is Easter Sunday it seemed fitting to stop at the infamous Cocoa Mountain... pure indulgence!

And go figure this is the spot I've had the best mobile signal in the last 24 hours!

Beautiful photos @Flashback - Brings back great memories. I enjoyed the visit to the Castle of Mey and the night I went to see sunset off Dunnet Head I was nearly blown away. Had a great meal at Stacks at John'o'groats. Enjoy

Oh and I loved my hot chocolate at Cocoa Mountain - glad you're feeling better

Last night in Amsterdam and had a private evening cruise with Rederij Paping: Book your Canal Cruise in Amsterdam

Highly recommend. Good communication, good captain, solar power so quite engine and small (fits 10 apparently but it was just us two) so you get away into smaller canals.

Now knowing what I know, I would have booked longer (we had 90mins) and you can take your own drinks and food (which we did)

A few more clicks on the legendary Ruta 40 in NW Argentina today. (Ruta 40 runs 5000 km the full length of Argentina from Tierra del Fuego to the Bolivian border, paralleling the Andes. It varies from multi-lane sealed dual carriageway to little more than a very rough track barely wide enough for two vehicles to pass.)

Outside the office was blocked off for the Queensland schools ANZAC service in ANZAC Square. I realised when I looked out the window and spotted the Governor's car. Apologies for the reflection of the windows.

I was amused to watch some people take photos of the car, or selfies with it, and one gentleman after the service with a police officer in front of the car. AnnSt.JPG
