re: The view from my "office"

Today's office. A skyscraper, and the stairs fairly destroyed me!

But of course there's always some clown pulling a funny face for the camera ....

So you made it to the top of Huayna Picchu, then? Way to go RF!

And it looks like it was a nice day.

Well, um ... no to the first point :( . The first afternoon was cloudy and we (me and guide) walked all over; I assessed the HP walk and had my doubts, especially as I got perfectly good over-view shots from the 'Guards house' high point (my panorama pic) which is about half the height of HP. That evening, I met up with a couple who were on the Galapagos cruise who attempted HP that day and it sounded like a muddy, vertigo-inducing horror story.

As I suffer from a touch of vertigo myself, was out to prove nothing, had no desire to wreck myself on 'holiday' and probably fail in the attempt, I didn't bother the next morning. The day started out with light clouds and thin sun, so I re-did all the photos from the previous day; in late morning the clouds went for a an hour or two, so I 'scampered' up the hills and did many of the pics yet again, and included the walk up/out to the Inca bridge.

My doc would be well pleased with the exercise that day!

They were well behaved, except when a bunch of USA 'college' type guys decided that riding one would be fun; the guy got kicked, unfortunately not where it would hurt most. Another lady, from Japan I thought, tried to feed them some chip type thing and got molested by both llamas on duty at that point. Serves her right too.

It was a great day for flying. We headed over to Moreton bay, then down the coast to Byron bay before heading back to Archerfield.

re: The view from my "office"

Last Sunday's office was EK186 BCN-DXB on board A6-EDS. The pic is of our somewhat late arrival into DXB at 0330 Monday morning.

Had a great catch up with fellow AFFer KPC in the F Lounge at DXB prior to taking QF2 (VH-OQA) to SYD.

I'd love to be able to watch a landing from my seat but QF staff always make me stow the screen well before landing (reprise my 1980s coughpit ride into SYD).

Pity I wasn't there for another couple of weeks.Enjoy Agfest.

re: The view from my "office"

Any good? Do you work in an Ag industry, Steady?

Yes, I think it's excellent. It is a big event in Tassie and covers far more than just the AG industry. I was there as a visitor.
