Konbanwa from Takaragawa Onsen in Central japan, approx 75 minutes on the Shinkansen from Tokyo central Station.

As you can see its a little chilly here today!

I witnessed an avalanche from inside the Onsen , complete with a tree falling over on the other side of the river from The Onsen, due to the excessive weight of snow on the escarpment.

So much snow..... So beautiful!

We plan to visit an Onsen in Tokyo later this month but it won't be as impressive as this one.

Was just for CDF Parade (not RMC - over the hill from RMC). Was also Navy and Army helicopter fly-over (9 helicopters). C17 made two passes.
