The view from my "office"

Don't blow it away - capture it for mulch!!!
I actually have a very clever contraption I built last year, which I will put together and take a photo. It involves a leaf vacuum/blower, strapped to the top of a green wheelie bin, and then an adapter I made from a downpipe fitting from Bunnings and five 1m lengths of pool vacuum hose, and a lot of duct tape. I can vacuum up the leaves from the deck and off the roof. The leaves on the lawn I pick up with the lawn mower, and the mix of grass clippings and the leaves composts really quickly.

Continuing the W.A. theme. It was really a beautiful day for a bike ride today.

The mighty Canning River flowing majestically down to Perth - taken a few km's upriver from where I have taken other photos that I have previously posted here. (For the locals - near Burslem Drive Bridge in Gosnells) You can see why dams now supply only around 10% of Perth's drinking water.

The floodplain with our steeds - not so faithful as mine is now in the repair shop with battery problems.

Well here in the UK it's going to be 27 or so today and you see sir, we call that a heat wave!
I just got a couple of snaps of my English cousins - we should have arrived in London yesterday and been gearing up for a cousins' reunion on Sunday. Poor love was bright red sitting in shade with feet in a paddling pool and looking ready to explode. 25 degrees?? Poor old Poms just can't handle heat, it'd justbe a nicve warmish day here in Oz
