They generate solar power at night by putting the panels under a light?

The whole installation is solar+battery powered as it’s in the park. I’ll need to check it out in more detail during the day to figure it out. It could be that the large light is to increase the range of attraction for the insects.

Happy Travels. Would like to see what Seabourn offers, know heaps that swear by it.

You can watch me here. Only been on board about 12 hours but everything is very nice. Lots of Americans as you would expect and many of them lovely. I have a feeling it's going to be a little sycophantic for me but we will see. Currently sitting here with a very large rum on ice with my balcony door open and the waves crashing. I've been writing up my TR as I go and with two sea days now I hope to get some of it published.

And as I was posting this, along came number 2. I’m not sure this one was a chinook but the two yesterday were. MrP thinks it quite weird that I knew that.

Went on a Trial Instructional Flight today out of PQQ. Less smoke today but some passing scuds so still not the best viewing weather.

The first pic may be, but the second pic isn't. Both rotors on a Chinook are the same size and horizontal. They are a *very* large helicopter.

Yes. They are indeed quite distinctive. My memories are of Vietnam War as a young kid and US used these all the time. Saw it again today flying over and has flown back early which might suggest their mission is over now.

The media was better organised than I was. Posted the other day.
