Another day and another office. I am always a bit wary at the Pier Lounge in HKG airport because I once saw an Air France A380 parked there, and I am never quite certain whether AF pilots have to complete the parking module of the A380 training course.

The drive from Palm Springs to Sedona saw us stop in at Quartzsite on the way through, where we heard an explosion at a nearby servo....

Sedona, known for Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock etc. There was some pretty good hiking in the area too, we did the airport loop trail which was pretty good for sunrise.

Oak Creek Canyon and surrounds, another good hike at Midgley Bridge down to the creek.

To me it always invokes the scene from Flying High! There are a few lounges like this including the AF lounges in CDG T2 where every plane nosing is from AF!

After arriving in Edinburgh yesterday at 1.30pm, I climbed the highest mountain in Britain today: naturally, I did not expect sunshine at this time of year and the constant rain, and later also hail, matched what I was thinking I might battle against, however the snow at the top was a bit of a surprise. Not everyone was equipped for that, I saw people in shorts... great hike though but not much of a view from the summit.

I find it interesting that in most of these heavily tourist trafficked places you tend to just get the lower end of chain hotels. Still charge a pretty penny though....

All these car park view photos from around the world are making me feel so much better... There I was wondering why I always seemed to end up with a hotel room with that view, sometimes a view of the rusty air-conditioning units or worse still - a brick wall !

Loved Zion and stayed in Springfield for a few days. Have you tried Polygamy yet?
