Thanks, very interesting. I never knew such a place existed and had to Google it.
Had zero knowledge of it before, and zero expectations. Was kind of blown away -- felt like another world.

Until we got chatting to one of the park staff. From NW Tassie, her home about 1km from my childhood home. And her old school teacher happened by pure chance to visit the park earlier that day. Surprising and yet small world.

I was surprised when you said it was somewhere in Australia, looked like something far more foreign!

Wandering the streets of Cairo yesterday, started out at the famous Koshary Abou Tarek and then onto Tahrir Square, Qasr Al-Nil statues and Cairo tower. Finished with a walk along the Nile back to my hotel for a nice sunset.

The yellow car is a Ford Anglia, must be over 50 years old! Probably closer to 60.

Booked in premium economy.. ended up in First. Only 2 rows of F on the 787-9. I guess BA felt bad about keeping me in Cairo for an extra 4 days ;)

It is quite literally my office today, working from my seat using the in flight WiFi. No rest for the wicked...

At first glance I thought it was a temple in Asia - also had to google it and have put it in my google maps as places to go. I'm never going to live long enough to do them all but I'm going to give it a damned good try

Alexandra Walk - Launceston. Explains the delayed inbound flight!

So did I. Couldn't believe we were still in Oz.

Guess it's kind of spoilt now but not knowing anything about the place beforehand sure helped the wow factor.

Absolutely fascinating ...

Seems a fire swept through the buildings 40 years ago.

Wikipedia is interesting: Paronella Park - Wikipedia

Seems like one who liked to paartay ...

Was glad to do a tour where one learns a lot of the eccentric/entrepreneurial/crazy/adventurous/pioneering details.

Saw signs pointing to this town and it appealed to my sense of humour. Photos were hard to get as there was a bit of traffic about.

I think I've found God, or at least their bus.

But wait, there is also more!

Saw this growing nearby, don't know if it is, any ideas?

Maybe it's what makes people feel so good around here. Groan.

God is near to Budapest, slighty north east.

Now, I have always wanted to go to Hell in Norway, been close, will have to make more an effort now.
