Looking for opinions, reviews, feedback on this new SPG hotel ... opened earlier this year. Thinking about booking for a stay next month.

Any thoughts?

I stayed at the old Akasaka Prince back in the day, and for old time's sake went to both bars at the new Prince Gallery in October. They were a little on the pricey side, but nothing too ridiculous by Tokyo standards. I'd imagine the rooms are probably beyond my budget, though.

Not sure if you're familiar with the general area, but Akasaka-Mitsuke station is on both the Ginza and Marunouchi subway lines, which makes it very handy to Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Ueno, and most places I can think of off the top of my head. The hotel's not all that far a walk from Roppongi, either.

Found a large thread over on FT. The general opinion appears to be it's a winner on par or better than the PH.

I'm liking the look of the area and will probably give it a go.

The Club benefits seal the deal IMO.

We've decided to give it a go. Ended up with a couple of rooms with Club access incl pool/gym usage... will come in handy, as the cost to use these facilities is apparently US$45/day/pp ... including staying guests without club benefits

I'll do a TR with photos...

Arrived last night.... first impressions - pretty happy

Enjoying all the food and views I can get. Is that raw egg on the chef's eggs? If so, be careful there.

Hahaha, I survived consuming copious amounts of Pisco Sours in Peru ... wonder if a Tokyo poached egg will bring me undone
