A little background. Its been a bucket list thing to enjoy Thai Airlines first class. The service provided by TG is unlike anything I have encountered before. Meet and greet on arrival. Whizzed to immigration on a buggy, use the diplomatic channel. Aircraft exit to street 5 minutes.

So tonight I am returning to Hong Kong on TG 606, and in the Thai FCL when I get the dreaded message from Tripit - flight cancelled. So I Google the flight same result, cancelled. Go and see the desk and nope its a little late but not cancelled they say.

And they were right I am in Hong Kong now. Tripit still thinks it was cancelled.

Just wondered had anyone else experienced this?

Weird things happen at times and I have had things similar in nature happen to me!

Wow, normally tripit knows before the staff on the ground do, but maybe this is a good reminder not to believe everything that tripit and google tell us.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

And here is the response from tripit...

"We really appreciate you letting us know and our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We can only report what's published by our monitoring service which draws upon various sources, not just the airlines, for our travel alerts. In general, this means a better experience for our customers since we can get the most accurate alerts to them as quickly as possible--not so in your case, which is unfortunate.

Most often an inaccurate alert is simply due to us having more information about the schedule fluctuations but in your case it looks like we were never alerted about the flight being put back on schedule until after the flight's departure."
