Thanks for all the contributors on these forums - your advice and tips has helped enormously.
Have just booked JASA MEL-LHR-MEL for me & Mrs and YASA for the rug rats using tips from everyone here - like how to book JASA for classic points, earning points hints, etc.
Have burned a lot of points (756k) but not much money ($3.2k), have nice seats, lots of status and credits coming my way when I fly.
Paid for the +Pay part on a credit card that gave me sign up bonus points, no fee first year, will give me travel insurance that will combine with work travel insurance and save me more money, and I'm flying on QF which I will like more on the way back than the way out
