No.............:(

It was always (as Brook Benton sang) just a matter of time.
I have eleven flights booked this year through LM and UA and I'm not looking forward to the refund and reticketing fun and games.

Guess the 747 demise was inevitable and if the foot space in the lying position on the 350's is OK then the change will be ok-I do enjoy the F perks when going through BKK though

Foot space is ok on the A350, but the beds are short (72 inches IIRC, maybe 73). If you're tall it's a problem.

F benefits will still apply in BKK if connecting to/from F services. So not too bad on that front. And TG's new long-haul J service is almost on par with their F anyway... minus the champagne and caviar.

Oh dear. Awful news. There's an F surprise for my wife in June. There won't be many more opportunities after this one.

Gday

I flew the 747 in F last year and it is oooold. Needs replacing for sure. I will be flying it again in two weeks time and would be connecting from KUL-BKK on a TG J ticket and then onto the BKK-SYD F ticket. Two separate tickets. Does anyone know if i will get a buggy pick up from the first plane to take me to the lounge? Or because i am on separate tickets it doesn't qualify?

Thanks.

Pele.

You qualify, but TG ground staff have got to know you're coming. A single ticket makes it easy to identify you, separate tickets not so much.

Presumably at check-in at KUL you will show your onward ticket for SYD so your bags can be through checked and tagged accordingly and boarding passes issued. That may trigger something in BKK, but the agent can also send a note stating you are incoming on that flight.

Bottom line is that it doesn't always work that they know to expect you. And there's no way to guarantee it.

IIRC the older version of F is installed on the newer 747s. The only real difference between the old and new F is a privacy wall and new IFE screen. But the walls/suites mean you lose the experience of being in the nose of a 747, you might as well be on any aircraft.

Hallelujah. I've been waiting for this announcement for several years.

They actually did announce they were going to do it 3-4 years ago but I am guessing a heap of TIP’s kicked up a stink at no F, so they reneged on the decision. Likely to stick this time though I would have thought!
