Yep they definitely are ok!

I love the new service. Passengers are charged less, and the drivers get a better cut of the fares compared to what Uber pays.
In Sydney Taxify are still offering 25% off all rides! And in Melbourne they're offering 50% off rides. It doesn't get much better than that!

I've done over 25 rides since December 2017 and am not disappointed. With this code you can now receive $10 off your first ride as a new customer. FFH4D

1. All drivers are UberX drivers who have just come across to earn more money
2. The Taxify app is a little buggy, but every few weeks they update it
3. Support is quick and easy to use if required

As there aren't thousands of Taxify drivers around I'd recommend looking to book your ride 15 minutes before you need to leave, as if it's during peak times the Taxify riders tend to go over to UberX to get the surcharge fares... so you might after 10 mins after to jump over to Uber. But with the app getting more and more coverage, lots more drivers seem to be appearing every week

Used it for the first time yesterday. Got a ride within 5 min. Let's try to support them as it means a better income for the drivers some of whom are doing it tough.

I have used Taxify about ~10 times in Melbourne, and twice in Sydney.

Service is fundamentally very similar to Uber (It's an "Uber clone" if you like). Drivers have been friendly and service generally good. The prices have been very good and often cheaper than Uber with their aggressive introductory pricing (as much as 50% off regular rates). I don't know how long the super cheap prices will last, but it's great while they do.

As with any new service, there have been a couple of times it has been hard to get a ride (no drivers, or the driver match is some distance away).

Between GoCatch, Uber and Taxify I rarely use regular taxis in Australian cities.
