First of all I would like to say I really enjoy reading through these forums, I've learned so much about making my travel experience better. Kudos to all of you who put time and effort into contributing your thoughts and experience for the lesser knowledgeable of us!
Next year is a rather large milestone for me birthday wise and I am wanting to spend it in my favourite country (Spain). I am thinking due to the milestone birthday and all that I will save up and treat myself to a J ticket. Now not to be picky but I have some criteria when it comes to booking so I thought I would get some feedback from you on which of the options due to criteria are my best bet. Criteria:
Cheers!
Criteria:
- No OW airlines if possible, I don't accrue QF points very much anymore as all my travel here in OZ is on DJ. So for points and status I would prefer to fly either a *A airline or one of the DJ affiliates. I will take *A as I also accrue Aeroplan points on my trips home to Canada on AC and am saving up.
- I am not fussed on traveling via Asia or America and am happy to have a few stops along the way if need be.
- If I am going to be paying in the 6-7K range for this flight, I would prefer to have lie flat or almost lie flat beds. I had a look at Thai due to *A but looks like their J product is a wee bit inferior to some of the others.
- I would like to enter Spain either in MAD or BCN, but would also consider LHR/LGW with a separate ticket on EasyJet or one of the others if considerably cheaper.
- I would like to leave SYD ideally on 1 August but would consider any day that week, and return on 20th or 21st August.
Cheers!
