Hi all, does anyone know if it is possible to book ANZ flights and their rewards seats using Velocity points. I have heard ANZ don't really offer a great deal of rewards seats. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

NZ dont offer partners any reward seats to North America, I assume its the same for south america

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

While it can be difficult getting rewards on NZ with partners its not impossible we booked Melbourne to Los Angeles 3 weeks ago in J for
2 of us with flying club miles and this is our 6th trip doing this.
Good luck

I have heard of others using va points on etihad via AUH to get to ? EZE ? GRU (can't remember which). Never done it myself but that might be an option if you don't mind wasting time reclining.

They fly to GRU, and availability is very good - I checked the other day for flights in Feb and saw that you could still get EY J seats for most days in August.

EY are also on the lower point table compared to long-haul NZ, but it further. If I'm reading the tables correctly, MEL-AKL-EZE is 143.8k for J on NZ, and MEL-AUH-GRU is 192k for J in EY (one way) - but I'm obviously reading it wrong since I saw them for 125k to GRU this morning.

Are you actually going to EZE or is that where they fly to and you're going on to somewhere else?
