Anyone else stuck here? :(

For a minute there I was thinking maybe April Fools joke but alas the sky was black earlier.

Still looks quite bleak outside....

Hmmmm, looks like lots of delays ...
Watching the status of QF2231 (SYD-WGA) with interest, to see if there's going to be an aircraft in WGA tomorrow morning for me to get onto :)

Luckily the delay was only around 30 minutes or so and got into BNE around 10 minutes late.

Missed the 7:59pm airtrain and now waiting for the 8:30pm airtrain....

... so you now walk up the hill?
Yes.

The airtrain runs until 10:30pm and Coachtrans has been going from bad to worse. I have not used Coachtrans for over 6 months now.

I think Coachtrans has gone from departures every 40 minutes, to 45 minutes and now every hour. And the drivers they have now are useless as in the early days I used to be one of the first dropped off in Spring Hill and then everyone got dropped off in the city and Southside and now the drivers go Southside first, then City and then Spring Hill.

If I miss next the Coachtrans it could mean I do not get home for another 2 hours which makes the trip from Sydney a very long trip.

And by the way the walk up the hill with 20-30kgs on my shoulders is good exercise....

Delays in SYD can make it interesting with the curfew.

My brother had one of those 'interesting' experiences when the weather was cough in MEL recently. His flight to SYD pushed back at 2130 but due to backlog of arrivals they were holding for 30 mins & no sooner had the engines powered up to commence the takeoff roll they powered down again as CBR had denied a dispensation to land in SYD after 2300.

End result were return cab vouchers & a nights accomm at the Hilton South Wharf.

The pilot announced (as we approached SYD last night) that we would be put into a holding pattern for around 10 minutes, and with that, the CS then decided there was ample time to do yet another round of drinks for everyone in Business.:)
