Suncorp Rewards - Reduced Velocity (and KrisFlyer) points conversion rates

It appears that, as of 1 May 2016, the conversion rate for Suncorp Rewards to Velocity/KrisFlyer has been reduced from 2:1 to 2.5:1.

Previously the Platinum rewards card sounded pretty attractive; at 1.25 points/$ earn rate it offered an effective Velocity/Krisflyer points rate of 0.625 points/$ - pretty good for a Visa card.

With this reduction I guess it falls back in with the rest of the pack offering only 0.5 points/$ spend.

Another one bites the dust. The Citibank signature still looks like its going to remain the best Visa points earner, even though they were the first to change. I wonder what all the sooks who burned their card in protest are thinking now.
