How <poorly though out> is it that a QF itinerary with a QF codeshare Jetstar flight strips you of your QF FF luggage entitlements for the Jetstar leg of the flight? What's the point of having that extra luggage allowance for only part of the trip - what does QF expect one to do? Dump their smelly underwear at the Qantas lounge prior to the Jetstar flight?

At least the Oneworld codeshares respect the FF baggage allowance entitlements.

Surely QF can apply the full FF allowance if the trip as one booking, especially for QF codeshares where no other option is presented...

How <poorly thought out> ...

You lost me, and any sympathy from me after your second word:mad:. Using it in a derogatory way is not on!! and I don't care if I am seen as being 'overly sensitive'.

What route is this?

In some cases Qantas could be in breach of regulation here.

It's Brisbane to Queenstown via Auckland then Sydney. Auckland to Queenstown is QF codeshare Jetstar. Don't think they're in breach, 'cause the minimum international baggage requirement (30 kg) is applied to the Jetstar flight. They're simply not honouring the additional FF status benefit. Just feel the whole thing is cheap given it's the same parent company.

Qantas - consistently inconsistent.

"Poorly" ? Is that derogatory now? Why should you be 'overly sensitive' to the word 'poorly'?

The post has been moderated. The original word was offensive and unnecessary in the post.

There is a non -stop BNE/ZQN flight QF185 plus the option of flying BNE/SYD/ZQN with the trans Tasman flights by Jet Connect. Either of these options would have given you the extra luggage allowance according to your frequent flyer tier status.
